This Privacy Policy explains how Karan Sood, operating as AI Demystified ("AI Demystified", "we", "us"), collects, uses and protects information when you visit aidemystified.in, buy a digital product, or engage us for services. We operate primarily in India, the UAE and the United States and aim to comply with applicable data protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) and, where relevant, GDPR and CCPA principles.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us — name, email, phone number, company name and message content when you use our contact form, email us or message us on WhatsApp.
- Purchase information — when you buy a digital product, our payment provider shares with us your name, email address, country, the product purchased, the amount and a payment reference. We do not receive or store your full card or bank details.
- Prospecting information — publicly available business contact information gathered through enrichment tools (such as Apollo.io) when researching prospective clients.
- Usage data — basic information such as pages visited, referring page, browser and device type, collected through analytics or advertising tools when they are enabled.
2. How we use your information
- To reply to enquiries and book calls.
- To deliver products you buy, provide receipts and handle refunds.
- If you agree to it, to send occasional emails about our books and services. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To scope, deliver and invoice contracted services.
- To send relevant business outreach where we have a legitimate basis. You can opt out anytime by replying "unsubscribe".
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
3. Payments
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Dodo Payments collects and processes your payment details and billing information under its own privacy policy, and handles tax calculation and compliance for your purchase.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use minimal cookies and browser storage for basic site functions (for example, remembering simple display preferences). We may also use analytics tools and advertising pixels, such as the Meta Pixel, to understand how visitors find and use the site and to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram. These tools may set cookies and share limited browsing information with the provider. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Meta account.
5. Third-party services
We use trusted providers to run the business, including: Netlify (website hosting and form handling), Dodo Payments (checkout and payment processing), Google Workspace (email), Calendly (booking calls — when you book, Calendly collects your name, email and any answers you give), Apollo.io (business contact enrichment), and Meta (advertising measurement, when enabled). Each processes data under its own privacy policy and only as needed to provide its service to us.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law — for example, purchase records are kept for tax and accounting purposes.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, withdraw consent, and opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these rights, email karan@aidemystified.in.
8. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including signing NDAs before project work where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
